Statement of Faith

1. Scripture
We believe that the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, infallible, and sufficient Word of God. They are the only certain and authoritative rule for all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience.

2. God and the Trinity
We believe there is one God, infinite in being and perfection, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each fully God, equal in power and glory, yet distinct in their personal relations. God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Lord of all.

3. God’s Decree and Providence
We believe that God has sovereignly decreed all things that come to pass, yet He is not the author of sin. He governs all creation with wisdom, justice, and love, working all things together for His glory and the good of His people.

4. Creation and Fall
We believe God created man and woman in His own image, upright and good, yet through Adam’s sin humanity fell into guilt, corruption, and death. All mankind is now by nature sinful, alienated from God, and under His just condemnation.

5. Christ the Mediator
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Fully God and fully man, He lived a sinless life, suffered, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven. He is the only Mediator between God and humanity.

6. Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Those whom God effectually calls are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, granted faith and repentance, justified by Christ’s righteousness, adopted as children of God, and sanctified by His Spirit. All who are united to Christ will persevere in faith and be glorified.

7. The Church
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church, His body. A true church is a congregation of baptized believers, joined by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ, exercising discipline, and proclaiming the Word.
The ordinances of the church are:
-
Baptism: the immersion of believers in water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Spirit, as a sign of union with Christ in His death and resurrection.
-
The Lord’s Supper: the remembrance of Christ’s death, in which believers spiritually feed upon Him by faith.

8. Last Things
We believe that at the end of the age, Christ will return bodily and in glory to judge the living and the dead. The wicked will be raised to everlasting punishment, and the righteous, to everlasting life in the presence of God. We look for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
